Susan Baskin is the Director of Global Learning Programs at Teadata where she oversees both the Teradata Certified Professional Program and Teradata's academic outreach program.   As Director of Teradata University for Academics, Susan is responsible for Teradata's engagement with universities around the world, focusing on ensuring the next generation of technology workers is well prepared for the careers of today.  Teradata University for Academics is led by a board of academics and is a free, web-based platform that provides teaching and learning tools and hands-on access to software, to faculty and students in data warehousing, database, business intelligence and big data.

With more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience, Susan joined Teradata/NCR in 2000 in worldwide industry marketing with responsibilities for global marketing in the retail and manufacturing verticals. In 2003, she was named director of business development and program operations for strategic partnerships. In 2005 she was promoted to vice president for business development and operations for Global Consulting Services, where she was responsible for marketing of both consulting services and vertical industry solutions worldwide. In 2007, as Teradata Corporation was established, she was selected as Director of Community Relations, where she developed and launched the new Teradata Cares program.  Within the first few years, Teradata Cares was engaging employees around the world, supporting local charities and providing grants and scholarships.

In addition to her primary responsibilities, she serves as Vice President of Communications for Women of Teradata, the women's initiative at Teradata Corporation. She firmly believes that diversity in the workforce brings diversity of thought which increases a business' competitive advantage.

Previously, Susan worked with ParkerVision, where she managed sales and marketing programs for five years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia University and her Master in Marketing from Webster University. She lives with her husband in Tennessee and has two grown children.
